Your data lives on your phone. Bounty has no account server. We cannot read your workouts, your photos, or your food journal, because they never leave your device.
Your profile, workouts, personal records, physique photos, calorie journal, streaks, cosmetics and settings are stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Reset Account, permanently deletes them.
Meal text. When you log food, the text of that entry (for example "2 eggs and toast") is sent to our calorie-pricing server to be estimated, and to trusted nutrition databases (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts) to be matched. It is processed to answer your request and is not used to build a profile of you.
Anonymous usage analytics. We use PostHog to count things like which screens are opened and which features are used, so we can fix what is broken. These events are not tied to your name or email and are never sold.
Barcode scans. A scanned barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts to identify the product.
Camera (progress and victory photos), microphone and speech recognition (saying your meals out loud), photo library (choosing pictures), and location (suggesting nearby restaurants when logging food). Each is optional, only used for its stated feature, and only after iOS asks for your permission.
No selling of data. No advertising. No data brokers. No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
Bounty is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
